This year was hard.
Really hard. I can only hope that next year, things can start to get better.
We could all use at least a little bit of an escape (At home, of course), and games certainly allow that – at least for a few hours.
The games on this list aren’t all from 2020. Like I mentioned at the start of the article: I didn’t get to play many new titles from this year. But I did play a lot.
I didn’t really have much else to do.
So this year, I decided I would allow the list to encompass anything I played the most. I’m glad I did – because I don’t think I could have come up with 5 actually new games that I’ve enjoyed this year.
I’ve actually been playing my PS2 almost more than anything else now that I’ve got it in working order (BTW, check out my playthrough of Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies going on right now!).
The games on this list have just made a hard year a little bit easier to get through. A few hours here and there to just relax and unclench your jaw.
By the way – unclench your jaw.
I enjoyed everything here in some way or another. That’s why they made the list. If you see something missing that you enjoyed – I probably didn’t play it, or I didn’t enjoy it as much as you did.
I also decided I would let these run a little longer than usual – let me get my thoughts out a little better, perhaps.
Let me know if you like the more longform version of this feature!
