[Top 5 (Plus 5)] Favorite Games of the Decade [2010-2019]

FOREWORD:

I wanted to do a “Favorite Games of 2019” list this year – but I didn’t get to play enough games to make doing that feasible. I played a decent amount of games this year – but a few weren’t super enjoyable for me, and a few I just plain haven’t spent enough time with to say whether I like them or not.

So, I figured, in lieu of that – how about looking back at the last 10 years in games that I’ve played, and pick my favorites of each year? I’ve played a lot of games now that I didn’t get to initially – maybe some of my previous favorites were replaced? Maybe some remained steadfast.

That’s why this is a Top 5 + 5 instead.

Notice:

As with every single previous list I’ve done on this site – the opinions and views shared here are entirely my own.

These are not the best games of the decade. There’s no order to the list – no ranking, other than the year they came out.

No – these are my, personal, favorite games of the last 10 years.

The rules are as follows:

  • I have to have played the game. Period. No playing the demo, watching a Let’s Play, etc. If I didn’t get personal, hands-on time with it for a decent amount of time, I can’t list it.
  • 1 (One) game per year. So a list of 10 individual games, with 1 being chosen as my favorite for a given year.
  • Being on a previous “Favorite Games” list does not exclude a game from appearing here. However – some games that were on those lists could change as I’ve played more games from those given years since then.

That’s it – anything else is pretty much fair game.
