Promise, I’ve just been busy working on some other stuff for the YouTube channel and the Twitch channel. What have I been working on? Glad you asked.
On the Twitch side of things, I’ve been working on trying to tie my graphics together better. Updating the profile with a little more information such as links to my various shops, information about my setup, and better organization of my web presence.
On the YouTube side of things:
This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while – ever since I got the elgato – an entire playthrough of the Devil May Cry series. So, I did one. All last month, I was busy recording every single DMC game, from DMC1 all the way up through DmC: Devil May Cry and its DLC, Vergil’s Downfall.
As of November 30th, DMCember has begun! The first 2 parts of DMC1 are live on YouTube now, and a video will post once a day all throughout the month and a bit into January.
You can follow the playlist right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CS2wMPLrr7w&list=PL2rv6_3LxpJIKDVzFMPZWfqajuADjUwBj
The schedule is as follows:
Game | Starting Date |
---|---|
Devil May Cry | November 30th, 10AM EST |
Devil May Cry 2 – Dante Story | December 8th, 10AM EST |
Devil May Cry 2 – Lucia Story | December 8th, 1PM EST |
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening [Special Edition] | December 14th, 10AM EST |
Devil May Cry 4 | December 24th, 10AM EST |
DmC: Devil May Cry | January 4th, 10AM EST |
DmC: Vergil’s Downfall | January 14th, 10AM EST |
I’ve even got a little snippet of gameplay from DMC4 to show what you can expect out of the playthrough, you can view it below.
Every game was recorded at 720p at a buttery smooth 60fps on the PS3. That’s why I didn’t stream them – I wanted these games to look as good as possible. I can stream at 60fps without much trouble, but the bitrate just isn’t conducive to a good looking video.
Speaking of streaming, I plan to come back to it either later today or tomorrow with Farcry 3: Blood Dragon, as well as more fightin’ games – maybe some Marvel vs. Capcom 2 or Darkstalkers if I can find matches online in them.
As far as reviews are concerned – depending on if I can get a PS4 for the holidays, you may see a review for EA & DICE’s recent Star Wars: Battlefront. If not, I’ll try to get a review out for FC3: Blood Dragon once that playthrough is completed.
That’s all for now. Like I said, I’m not dead, and I haven’t abandoned this site or the stream. I’ll be back soon enough.
